Who I Work With
I enjoy and have experience working with children, teens, and adults.
Since shelter in place began in mid-March, I have seen that young people’s emotional needs have greatly increased, as many of the routines and structures that support them have been removed or are in flux. This is truly a hard time to be a child, and it reinforces for me of the importance of the relationships I build with them to help them grow.

I principally work with kids who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Frequently, I find young people are using maladaptive behaviors to try and soothe themselves when they feel dysregulated and uncomfortable. Part of the task in psychotherapy is to help develop more adaptive tools to better cope with the multiple challenges of family, academic, and social life. I really enjoy working with adolescents and see this as the time of life when young people start to discover themselves and blossom. This frequently comes with struggle, conflict, anxiety and depression. The opportunity in this sometimes confusing time of life is to begin to make sense of what they like and how they want to live their lives.
I work with adults on issues including:
- Physical illness (including migraine)
- Depression
- Complex Trauma and PTSD
- Anxiety issues (including generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, phobias, and social anxiety)
- Parenting challenges
- Relationship issues
- Work-life balance
- Pregnancy and post-partum issues
- Career concerns
- Loss or Grief
- Immigration experiences
- Substance abuse
